Biography
I am an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Cyber Physical Systems Security in Computer Science at Swansea University, and my university website link is here. Prior to this, I was Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at University of Bristol, was a member of the Bristol Cyber Security Group and part of the MSc infrastructure security programme. I was also lectured and supervise PhD students at EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber Security. Before taking a faculty position, I was a Postdoctoral researcher at Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC)(affiliated to University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)). I was a President Graduate Fellow in the Information Systems Technology and Design pillar at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) (Established in collaboration with MIT) under the supervision of Professor Aditya Mathur and Professor Jianying Zhou. I am also part of iTrust, centre for research in cyber security, where I have been involving in multiple Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) security projects. I was a visiting researcher and got an opportunity to work with Professor Eunsuk Kang and Professor David Garlan in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). During my stay at CMU, I was associated with CyLab and ABLE. I received a Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology.
Research Overview
My research interests are in the security of Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), Industrial Control Systems and Critical Infrastructure. My research investigates the cyber physical attack models, impact of attacks, detection and mitigation on CPS. My research takes a multidisciplinary approach to tackle the security issues associated with CPS and he has excelled in applying cyber security, formal methods, and machine learning fundamentals for advancing CPS security for greater impacts. I am always looking for self-motivated individuals for Ph.D. and Postdoc positions.
